August BoxyCharm Unboxing

You guys.... I'm so obsessed with BoxyCharm. I'm so happy that I signed up for it.

Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Palette
"The Revealed 3 palette features twenty all-new elegant eye shadows, in a stunning variety of hues and textures."
I'm so excited that I received this palette. I've been a huge fan of Coastal Scents for a while now and this palette is gorgeous. There's a perfect amount of shimmer and matte colors, it's also not too dark and not too light. Just beautiful colors all around.

MicaBeauty Gel Eyeliner
"MicaBeauty's Gel Eyeliner is perfect for drawing attention to your eyes without smudging or fading!"
I can say from experience that this eyeliner sticks and it doesn't move. I used it in a Halloween video and it took 3 face washes and another makeup wipe to get it off.

Nios Shield Leave-In Conditioner
"Year-round color and texture protection with a light, natural hold combined with SPF 15 sunscreen, Vitamin E and B5 hydrate and nourish your hair, while the built-in SPF sunscreen protects hair color and texture and scalp sunburn. The Moroccan argan oil helps tame frizz and leaves a healthy, shiny glow."
This is the perfect item for someone who has colored hair like mine. Since I cannot wash my hair that much, I need something that will keep my hair slick and protected and I feel like this product is going to do an awesome job.

So Susan Statement Skin
"Add a glow to your complexion with So Susan's Statement Skin highlighting crayon! Its unique chiselled head enables you to cover large areas of the face, or target small pinpoint ones, all without using a brush! Powered by Organic Chia Seed to help keep skin softly hydrated and Silk Peptide to promote skin suppleness and elasticity."
I haven't used this product yet myself, but I've seen other YouTube beauty gurus use it and it looks phenominal and I cannot wait to use it myself!

Seta Eyeliner Brush
"Achieve a flawless line with this eyeliner brush from Seta. Perfect for applying gel or cream based eyeliners."
I used this brush to apply the MicaBeauty eyeliner and I love it!

Have you signed up for BoxyCharm yet?

My Newest Obsession: Tiny Houses!

Over the past couple of months I have seen these cute, very tiny houses posted everywhere on the internet and I became obsessed immediately. Tiny houses are less than 500 sq. feet and I think what made them catch my eye was the way things are stored in those houses. Since they're so small, there needs to be lots of hidden storage.

I would love to live in a tiny house some day. Although it might take a lot of money to build these tiny houses but the upkeep and cost is very affordable compared to a regular sized house.

Now I definitely don't think I'd be able to live in the 200 sq. feet houses, but maybe a 500 sq. foot tiny house would be nice!

Recipe: Ranch Pretzels

Recently, my parents brought over about 6 pounds of pretzels... yep. You read that right. 6 pounds of pretzels! So obviously I need to figure out what to do with all of these pretzels and I've always liked these ranch flavored pretzels. I couldn't find my own recipe, but I did find it on Pinterest so I had to try it and they turned out really good!

Here's the recipe:

15 oz. bag of pretzels
1 ranch seasoning packet
1/4 C. oil

Preheat oven 200°. In small bowl, combine ranch packet and oil then mix.
Pour entire bag of pretzels into a large paper bag. Add ranch and oil mixture evenly on top.
Close bag and shake well. Pour onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

They turned out so delicious and it's going to be really hard not to eat this whole bowl.

I hope you enjoy them too!

Book Review: The Opposite of Loneliness

The Opposite of Loneliness is a collection of essays and stories written by Marina Keegan.

Marina Keegan was a very smart student and an award-winning writer and she seemed to have a bright future ahead of her after she graduated magna cum laude from Yale in 2012. Unfortunately, just a couple of days after graduation, Marina was killed in a car crash.

Her family, friends and teachers came together with some of her more brilliant collections of essays and short stories and came out with The Opposite of Loneliness. Her words are so riveting and you can tell she was going places with such immaculate talent. Her words really make you think.

If there was ever a chance, I would love to read all of the short stories, essays, poems and plays that Marina has written in her short 22 years of life. I'm obsessed with this book and I could read her words over and over again.

Book Review: Damned

Most of Chuck Palahniuk's books have been on my wish list for quite some time. I finally picked one up titled Damned. I didn't know too much about Palahniuk's writing style or any of his books really, but Damned is the perfect book to start off with.

Madison Spencer is the 13 year old daughter to a narcissistic film star and a billionaire. Over holiday break, she dies from what we assume is a marijuana overdose and ends up meeting some interesting people down in Hell. They come together like the Hell version of Breakfast Club and go on some crazy adventures through Hell to speak to the Devil himself.

This book was so funny and it had me coming back for me. Palahniuk's writing is so easy to read and I didn't want to put this book down. Keep your eyes out for the sequel to this book titled Doomed because I know I definitely will be purchasing that one soon.
