Fashion Favorites

The Target clearance section has been killing it lately so I wanted to show some of the things that I've purchased recently.

These pants are so comfy!

I fell in love with this jumpsuit the moment I saw it!

I also found some really pretty dresses at Forever 21 that I'm obsessed with! I believe these were also on sale.

This red plaid one is my favorite!

Let's Chat: Z Palettes

Z Palettes are the perfect way to organize your single pot eyeshadows and blushes. Instead of having all of those annoying single pot eyeshadows or blushes, you can depot them and put them into a Z Palette and you can essentially create your own makeup palette.

The above photo is the Z Palettes that I bought on Amazon. These Z Palettes came with magnets that you use to make sure your single pots don't go sliding everywhere. Fortunately for me, the Coastal Scents single eyeshadow pots that I put in my Z Palettes were already magnetized so I didn't have to use the ones that came with my palettes when I purchased them. I got my Z Palettes in the large size and as you can see, they all fit perfectly and it looks so much cleaner than just having eyeshadow pots all over the place taking up a lot of room in my makeup box.

I thought these Z Palettes were so cool and now I want to buy even more so I can put all of my other single eyeshadow and blush pots in them.

If you want to learn how to depot your single eyeshadows and blushes, just watch these YouTube videos here!

October Ipsy Unboxing

Don't forget to review your product on Ipsy to receive points!

Skyn Iceland Mini Glacial Cleansing Cloths

"Infused with Icelandic glacial waters and beneficial natural extracts, they sweep away makeup, dirt, oil and other impurities while refreshing and soothing stressed skin. Best of all, there's no water required. It has a clean scent, never tacky."
The towelette itself is very rough and it irritated my eyes when I was taking my makeup off, but besides that, these cloths really work great! They removed my makeup very easily without any effort!

City Color Be Matte Lipstick in "Cappuccino"

"Its rich formula is highly pigmented and enhanced with Vitamin E to nourish your lips and provide long-lasting color."
I haven't tried this lipstick yet, but it's a very Kylie Jenner-esque color, if you are into that.

Jesse's Girl Mineralized Baked Eyeshadow Power in "Esmeralda"

"Get out-of-this-world eyes with Jesse’s Girl Mineralized Baked Powder Eyeshadows. "
I haven't tried this eyeshadow yet either, but this picture doesn't do it any justice. It's a very pretty, shimmery eyeshadow. I'm excited to try it out though.

Figs & Rouge Hand Cream

"These delectable creams soften, nourish & thoroughly pamper hands throughout the day, quickly absorbing to provide super-soft skin."
This hand cream not only smells really good, but it's so hydrating and I think the packaging is so cute! Super big fan of this hand cream.

ECRU New York Acacia Protein BB Cream Beauty Balm for Hair

"Finally, an ultra-light, incredibly versatile, all-in-one multifunctional beauty balm that harnesses the moisturizing and protective power of the patented Acacia Collagen™ for ultimate repair, conditioning, manageability, smoothness, body and shine"
It definitely looked and smelled like I was putting lotion into my hair, but after I blow-dried my hair, my hair was really smooth!

October Birchbox Unboxing

Don't forget to review your products on Birchbox to receive points!

TONI&GUY Classic Shine Gloss Serum

"This silky, lightweight treatment leaves hair smooth, glossy and frizz-free."
It does what it says it does. After I got done washing and blow-drying my hair I applied this serum from the ends of my hair on up and it left my hair so smooth, I couldn't stop touching it.

Clean Rain Eau de Parfum

"Inspired by falling droplets, this fresh scent blends water lily, daffodil and melon."
This perfume smells so amazing. It really does have a clean smell to it. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a spray, but all I do is put some product on my finger and dab it on my neck.

Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips

"Originally made for nursing moms, this ultra-hydrating balm is a makeup artist fave."
I wish the sample size was much bigger because I won't get a lot of uses out of this, but it's really hydrating. I use it on my lips. But it does feel and act exactly like Vaseline, so that's a cheaper alternate to this.

Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream SPF 35 in Light to Medium
"Next-generation SPF 35 CC cream that triple protects against UVA and infrared-A rays."
I didn't get to try this stuff because it is too dark for my skin tone, so if you used this, please comment down below and let me know how much you liked it. The name "Supergoop!" made me laugh really hard though.

ModelCo Powerlash High Impact Black Mascara
"With a unique brush, this Australian brand's mascara adds length and volume to every lash."
When you take the wand out of the tube, it's very goopy but after wiping the access off, it's a very nice mascara! It coated my lashes perfectly and they looked pretty!

DIY: Candle

I found this idea from Pinterest awhile ago and I've been making them for my family and I decided I wanted to share it with you all to enjoy!

What you'll need:
-Mason Jar
-Candle Wax
-Crayons
-Candle Wick
-Wooden Stirring Stick
-Candle Pot
-Essential Oil (optional)

First, you'll want to attach your candle wick to the bottom of the mason jar. I like to wrap a wooden stirring stick around the wick to make sure that the wick stays standing upright.

Next, you'll want to add some candle wax to your pot and start melting it. Leaving the heat on low, make sure that you stir randomly so the wax melts. I like to switch from a wooden spoon to a wooden stirring stick but the wooden stirring stick is so much easier to use. You'll want to keep stirring until all of the wax is melted. It should look something like this:

Next, you'll want to break your crayons and you can either melt them in a microwave in a Dixie cup, otherwise you can add the broken crayons into the melting pot.

I decided to add the broken crayons into the pot and stir until the crayons are all dissolved.

When the crayons are all melted, I take the pot off of the heat and let it cool only a little bit. Then, if you wish, you can add some essential oils to make the candle smell nicely. I decided "Sweet Orange." I bought a little box full of essential oils from Amazon.

Then you just pour the melted wax into your mason jar! It's just that simple. Since my orange only filled about half of the mason jar, I added some black on top once the orange has dried. I still added the "Sweet Orange" essential oil and now I have a candle for Halloween!

Hope you enjoy!

Never Have I Ever Book Review

Katie Heaney grew up in my home state of Minnesota. She was always the good girl that deep down inside wanted to be a bad girl but didn't want to break any rules. In this book, she talks about all the crushes that she had but never did anything about it. She nails it when she talks about the little crushes she had growing up and how they all acted.

She brings up a lot of nostalgia with her Lisa Frank notebooks and rollerskating at Saints North and playing The Sims all day long (which I still do, let's be real.)

She's real about the hard parts of growing up like losing your best friend to her boyfriend, trying to make friends when starting middle school or high school and leaving friends to go to college.  While talking about all the horrible dates that she went on in college, she reveals that you should learn to trust yourself as well as your instincts.

She hilariously reveals what types of people and messages you'll receive during online dating and no matter what age, it feels like I get the same messages on Facebook.

Katie gives great advice about relationships that you kind of don't understand that she does until you sit and think about what you've just read. She overthinks relationships and overthinks situations and although it is very funny, I feel like I have done those things myself. Katie also let's us know that it's ok to wait and it doesn't make you any less of a person when you're a "virgin" and it's your life and your rules.

Katie is real and I totally see myself doing the same things that she does. I really liked this book a lot. It's all about being yourself and not letting anybody tell you different.

Afton Apple Farm

Saturday, my mom and I went to Afton Apple Farm to pick out some apples and pumpkins! It was so packed that it was overwhelming but it was actually kind of cool that all these people came from different areas to go to this farm.

We took a hayride (!!!) around the farm and stopped and got out to get apples and pumpkins!

My mom and I on the hayride!

Apples!

Pumpkins!

We each got a pumpkin and I also got some Honey Gold apples which are my favorite!

After we were done getting our pumpkins and apples, we went back to my mom's house because my sister was there and I decided to hang out with her for a little bit while she was looking through pictures. Here's some cute ones of me!

Thor wanted my pizza!

DIY: Halloween Burlap Canvas

I actually found this on Craftaholics Anonymous' blog and I thought it was so cute.

What you'll need:
-Burlap Canvas
-Felt
-Adhesive or Craft Glue
-Needle and Thread
-Puff Paint

First, you'll want to cut out your shape. This one is going to become a pumpkin!

Next, either use the craft glue or adhesive to place your shape onto the canvas. When it's secure, start sewing around the outside of your shape.

It should look something like this when you're finished!

For the ghost, I just painted some orange polka dots all over the canvas and did the same thing I did with the pumpkins. I just added eyes to the ghost!

Simple and easy and cute! I feel like you could do this with any season.

Have a Happy Halloween!

Coastal Scents Eyeshadow Pots

I've been really excited to show you guys these eyeshadows because they're such gorgeous colors. I bought a few (okay, a lot) of eyeshadows from one of my favorite makeup brands, Coastal Scents.

From left to right:
Flesh Tone, Caramel Ice, Orange Mousse, Midas Gold
Cantaloupe Slice, Persian Peach, Pumpkin Pie, Wish Washy
Niagara, Light Slate, Navy Baby

Melon, Coral Blossom, Reef Coral, Georgia Peach
Paprika, Dark Salmon, Watermelon, Maroon Berry

Peach Brew, Sea Foam, Reef Blue, Sea Lily
Glacier Blue, Blue Hawaiian, Pacifica Opal, Vibrant Blue Green
Amazonian Ice, Shamrock Green, Persian Green, Deep Viridian

(I forgot about Peach Brew so that's why it's with the blues and poor Deep Viridian came broken)

With this package came a sample size of their Revealed 2 palette (4 shades) and a sticker!

I love these colors. They're so beautiful and of course my camera didn't pick up exactly how pretty they actually are. They go on so nicely and they are easy to blend.
