PSA

Hi guys!

As it's getting warmer outside, I'd just like to remind you to not leave your animals in your cars even if it's "just for one minute." Temperatures can soar inside the car 30 degrees in just 10 minutes! Even if you left the A/C on in your car, you never know what can happen. What if your car dies or the A/C goes out?

It's illegal to leave animals in your cars in Arizona, California, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont and West Virginia.

So what should you do if you see animals left inside cars without their owners near by?
  • Try to find the owners and let them know how wrong it is to leave animals in the hot car.
  • Find security and have them page the owner right away.
  • Call the police. Make sure you write down the make, color, model and license plate of the car and make sure not to leave until the issue has been resolved.
If you see an animal in distress, don't hesitate to act fast! Heatstroke can happen within minutes. Here are some signs of heatstroke in a dog:
  • Excessive panting
  • Excessive drooling
  • Increased heart rate
  • Trouble breathing
  • Dark tongue
  • Thick saliva
  • Weakness
  • Dizziness
  • Vomiting

Also try to give the dog as much water as you can if the windows are cracked. If your dog does have heatstroke, take him/her to the veterinarian as quickly as you can or you can also put your dog in  lukewarm water to try to get him/her to the correct body temperature.

Please, please, please make sure your animals are safe this hot summer!

(Late) Ulta Haul

Hi guys!

This post is really super late because I wanted to do a video on this, but I still don't have a camera and the video from my laptop looked really crappy. But a couple of weeks ago, I went to Ulta and bought some really cool things that I want to do a review on.

I didn't realize how awesome Ulta was until I actually took the time to look around in there. It literally has everything! I can totally see myself getting all of my makeup and accessories there from now on. I'm so in love and I can't wait to go back and buy everything.

PRIMETIME Smile
I haven't used this product enough to test if it actually works, but it's very simple to use. There's two pens inside and all you do is brush your teeth, apply and leave it to do it's thing. You're also not supposed to eat or drink anything until about 30 minutes after you apply it. I'm excited to see if it works! I think $22 is a little too pricey for my taste, but if it works then I'm not worried about it.

Hempz Hydrating Bath and Body Oil
I'm so in love with this stuff, you guys. I could not wait to shower to use this. I shower and sometimes I'll towel dry, sometimes I wont and I just put this all over my body and it's so hydrating and it smells SO GOOD. I can't really describe the smell but it's kind of fruity. My skin is usually very dry, especially in the winter, but after I put this on my skin was so smooth. I do with the bottle was a little bigger, only because I'm greedy, but it seems to be lately me a really long time and for $24.95 I will buy this over and over and over again.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade
This is perfect for eyebrows. But listen to me carefully when I say that a little goes a long way! Be very careful when applying this and use a very light hand. I have it in chocolate and it looks very nice with my hair color. It was $18 but this is going to last me so long especially since I was only a little bit. I probably won't ever use another eyebrow product ever again.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Beauty Genius
I got this product thinking it was the brow gel but I did find out I can use this product for way more things than just eyebrows. It's waterproof and it seals loose powder and glitter. This product was also $18. I'm sure you can also use it on your eyebrows if you have an extra spooly brush laying around.

Also not pictured: Nad's Facial Hair Removal Creme:
This stuff actually removed my hair very easily when you follow the directions. I'm not sure if it was because I used it on my eyebrows, but it burned very badly when I used the soothing cream. It burned so badly that I had to quickly wash off the cream. But the actual removal creme worked very nicely, I just don't use the soothing cream afterwards. I believe this product was only about $6 but it's worth it.

April 2014 Ipsy Unboxing

Hi guys! I was so excited to get my Ipsy bag this month and now I just want to quickly show you the things that were inside!

Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes:
The lashes that I got were in "Flirty" and although I do not need fake eyelashes because my eyelashes are already really long, I do find these lashes to be extremely pretty and maybe I'll be able to wear them out on special occasions. On Ipsy's website it says that the glue is sold in stores, but it's actually in the package so that's plus.

Cover FX Mattifying Primer with Anti-Acne Treatment:
Today was actually my first day wearing this primer and I thought it did its job very nicely. The feeling of this primer is really weird and that turned me off at first but the way it went with my makeup was really nice. I do have acne and I'm hoping it truly is "anti-acne" so I will keep you updated on that but so far I'm impressed with this primer.

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil:
The funny thing about this eyeliner is I was going to purchase it soon because I kept hearing all the praise from this eyeliner and I've always wanted more Urban Decay products so when I opened my bag and saw this, I was pretty happy. It actually did go on very smoothly and I feel you can either smoke it out really nicely or use it normally, like I usually do, and it's my favorite pencil eyeliner so far. I'm so happy this was in my bag.

City Color White Gold Shadow and Highlight Mousse:
This shadow is so cool I couldn't wait to try it. At first, I didn't know how I was going to apply this product but my finger, even though I hate using hands/fingers for applying makeup, did the trick quite nicely. I honestly love the feeling of this. It's so shimmery which I'm a big fan of. I used it as eyeshadow today but I'm definitely going to use it as a highlight sometime soon.

Mary Kay At Play Jelly Lip Gloss:
At first I was skeptical because it was so sticky but when I wore it more and more I became more of a fan. I don't usually wear that much lipgloss, but I can see myself wearing this almost every day. There's just enough of color for me to like it.

Until next time!

April 2014 Birchbox Unboxing

Hi guys!

I just received my Birchbox so I just wanted to show you guys the things that were inside and give you a quick review on them.
Price: $11.00

Bee Kind Body Lotion:
Price: $15.00
"Made with natural skin conditioners like honey and organic chamomile, this natural hydrator absorbs instantly without greasy residue, leaving behind a zesty lemon verbena scent. Plus, every BeeKind™ purchase helps support a healthier honeybee population, which in turn supports a greener, more sustainable planet."

My review: This stuff smells so good and it is very nicely hydrating. They are also cruelty free and do not test on animals.

Color Club Gala's Gems Collections Nailpolish:
Price: $13.00
"Perfect for spring, these pastel hues are inspired by the retro lacquers of the 70s and 80s, complete with a luxe pearl finish. Paired with on-trend, opaque color, the results are both modern and sleek."

My review: I got this really pretty pale pink-ish metallic color. I love this color so much and the nailpolish dries very quickly which is also something that I really appreciate.

Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine:
Price: $170.00
"Atelier Cologne’s Orange Sanguine Cologne Absolue is a highly concentrated — 15 percent to be exact — and distinctive blend that lasts much longer than traditional citrus scents. It has a burst of sweet blood orange and bitter orange laced with heady jasmine and rich sandalwood — you won’t be able to stop sniffing your wrist."

My review: This isn't necessarily my favorite scent of all time, but I didn't mind it. Not a fan of the original price, but the sample size that comes in Birchbox is perfect.

Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner:
"The soft wax formula goes on smooth to create clean lines or can be smudged to smoky perfection. Plus, the long-lasting liner will hold up all day and night."

My review: I'm a new huge fan of this eyeliner. I tested it on my hand and it was a nice color and lasts a really long time. The price is nice and I could see myself buying more of this eyeliner once my sample is done.

KIND Healthy Grain Bars:
Price: $11.88
"These wholesome snack bars are the ideal mix of both flavors (and, of course, they’re also nonGMO and gluten-free). So satisfying your sweet tooth or indulging your addiction to all things savory doesn’t have to be a battle—and, even, better it doesn’t mean putting rubbish in your body."

My review: I got the Maple Pumpkin Seeds with sea salt flavor and I thought it was pretty good. I don't think I'd buy a whole box of them but I liked the sample that I got.

Until next time!

Weekend In Cambridge

Hi guys,

So this weekend I spent the night in Cambridge, Minnesota at my sister's house to look over her dogs and her house. Here's some pictures of the pups!

Check out how photogenic Remy is!

Simba struggles to make friends sometimes...

Remy wanted to play with him so bad!

Simba decided to lay there most of the night.

Everybody started to get a little tired...

So overall I had a really great night. I hope you guys all had a good weekend! Until next time!
