DIY Candle Holders

Hello everyone!
I'm a huge fan of DIY projects if you haven't figured that out by now. I've had this idea for quite some time now so I'm going to show you step by step on how to make some candle holders. In case you missed it, I already posted a DIY on how to make candles, so these two posts go hand in hand!

Here's what you'll need:

You'll need some plain old candle votive holders. I get all of my supplies from Michael's and these were pretty cheap.

Then you'll need some Mod Podge. You can use any kind of mod podge but I just used matte because that's what I had laying around.

You'll need some kind of designs to put on the votives. I think I just found these cute little flowers in Michael's scrap booking section.

Your first step is to put some mod podge on the glass where you're going to place your first flower. You'll need to use some sort of sponge to place the mod podge on the glass. Then place your flower or whatever you use on top of the mod podge. When the mod podge started to get tacky, I made sure to press the flower into the mod podge so the flower lays flat.

Keep placing your flowers onto the glass in whichever design you think looks nice.

After the mod podge under the flowers started to dry, I added a thin layer of mod podge on top of the glass and the flowers just so I know for sure if the flowers will stick and also so the glass and flowers are basically the same levels. Don't worry, the mod podge dries clear so it'll look better once it's dry. After this step, you're basically done. You can leave them like this otherwise you can do as I did and make them into candles.

Comment down below if you tried to make these. I want to know how yours turned out!

Small Lime Crime Haul

I've been in love with Lime Crime ever since I saw their first Velvetine lipstick. I loved the fact that these lipsticks go from liquid to matte pretty quickly and they stay literally all day and they also smell really good! I feel like I can eat, drink and go on with my day without having to worry about reapplying. The first color I ever got was Pink Velvet and I loved that one so much that I needed to get some more, and here they are!

My favorite out of these 3 is Black Velvet. I never thought I would like black lipstick as much as I did after purchasing this lipstick. It doesn't look too weird while on and I have never felt so fierce and confident while wearing a lipstick. I really hope they never stop making this color in a Velvetine.

My next favorite of the 3 is this color Suedeberry. It's a very pretty coral red color. How could you go wrong with coral red?!

The next color I got is going to be very interesting to use with makeup and I'm excited to find a perfect look for this lipstick. This one is the color Cashmere and it is a cross between grey and beige but either way it's really gorgeous!

Cashmere, Suedeberry and Black Velvet

Have you tried the Lime Crime Velvetines before?! Which one is your favorite?

Let's Chat: IT Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Pencil

Ever since I have started getting Birchbox in the mail, it has opened my eyes to a whole bunch of wonderful cosmetics brands that I have never heard of before. I started hearing more and more about IT Cosmetics through Birchbox and it was also everywhere on YouTube.

I'm a huge fan of trying new things, especially when it comes to eyebrow products, so when I saw the IT Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Pencil I felt like I needed to try it out asap as possible.

Normally when I see an eyebrow pencil that is "universal," it never is. It ends up being way too dark and it looks really weird on my face. This eyebrow pencil is different. It comes in the shade Universal Taupe that you can build up to your desired shade for your eyebrows. I barely have to press down and it gives me such a nice color that goes very nicely with my hair color and it looks really nice against my very pale skin.

As you can see, this brow pencil is double sided. One side being a spooley so you can brush your brow hairs to your desired shape and it can also spread the product throughout your eyebrow hairs so you don't use too much. The other side is, obviously, where the product is. The tip is oval shaped so you can color in your brows as big or as thin as you would like.

I feel as if I don't even need to use an eyebrow gel because this pencil does not smudge at all, even after I take some naps.

If you're a Birchbox subscriber, you can find this product in their shop. I used my Birchbox points to get this product for free! So don't forget to review your Birchbox products to receive points so you can get awesome products, like this eyebrow pencil, for really cheap or for FREE!

I love this eyebrow pencil and I don't think I'm going to be searching for anything else anytime soon.

Night Time Skin Care Routine

It has taken me a really long time to get my skin in control. Growing up, I've always had really bad acne and nothing I did seemed to really work that well. I think I have finally found a routine that keeps my skin under control and it doesn't get too dry.

First, I'll go in with my Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser just to get all of my makeup off if I wore any that day. This cream takes off pretty much all of my makeup so easily!

Next, I'll use my Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towelettes to get any makeup that I might have missed from using the Pond's Cream. For example; around my facial piercings and my hairline. Sometimes I just use this to get my makeup off if I'm too lazy to actually wash my face (I know it's bad, but at least I'm not going to sleep with my makeup on, right?!)

Then, I'll use my ProActiv Re-Texturizing Toner. This toner is used for making the skin smoother and softer and also making pores seem smaller.

Then I'll use my ProActiv Pore Targeting Treatment. This is the step that targets and kills bacteria that may cause acne.

Next, I use my Coui Vitamin C Anti-Aging Serum. I found this on Amazon and I decided to give it a go and I'm really glad that I did. It makes my skin feel so clean and smooth. It restores the structure and elasticity of the skin. Plus it's never too early to fight aging, right?

Next I will go in with RapidLash and Rimmel's Lash Accelerator and put it all over my eyelashes to grow my eyelashes big and strong!

Then I'll need to rehydrate my skin, so I'll use ProActiv's Complexion Perfecting Hydrator. It leaves my skin so smooth and hydrated while I sleep!

Then I'll use some Castor Oil all over my eyelashes and eyebrows to grow them even more!

Right now I can honestly say that I haven't been so confident in my skin as I have been lately. What are some of your skin care favorites? Comment below and let me know!

What I Ate Today 11/21

Hello everyone!
I'm back with another "What I Ate Today" and it is kind of similar to the last one I posted but it's still very tasty!

What you'll need:

Chicken
Rice
Tortilla
Corn
Salt and Pepper
Taco Bell Southwest Ranch Sauce
Cooking Oil

Start by heating up the oil in a frying pan.
Cut chicken into chunks and add it to the pan.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
When the chicken looks cooked all the way, add the TB Southwest Ranch sauce.
This is when I started to make the minute rice, so go ahead and do that.
Add the corn to the chicken and Southwest Ranch mixture.
When the rice is fully cooked, add all of it to the frying pan with the chicken and corn and mix until fully incorporated.
You can either make a burrito out of this otherwise you can do what I did and just cut up the tortilla and sprinkle it within the chicken and rice.

That's it! Really simple and it tastes so delicious!

Girl Online Book Review

If you don't know who Zoe Sugg aka Zoella is yet, I highly suggest you step your internet game up because she is everywhere.

Not only is she a super famous YouTube star with her subscribers in the multiple millions, she also has her own beauty range and now she has put out the fastest selling book of the year; Girl Online.

Girl Online is about a girl named Penny, who goes under the alias Girl Online on her blog, who is going through some really tough times to say the least. She gets the opportunity to travel to New York with her parents and her best friend Elliot over Christmas, that trip changes her forever when she meets a boy named Noah, aka Brooklyn Boy, who also has a secret of his own.

This book is very easy to read. It does feel like it was written for teenage girls, but from a 23 year old's position, I loved it. I couldn't and didn't want to put this book down. It has actually taught me a lot while I was reading it. With how to deal with panic attacks, to dealing with horrible friends and gossip. I pre-ordered it when I first found out about it and it only took me a couple of days to read.

I really, really hope that Zoe puts out another book soon. If it's anything like Girl Online, I know that I will love it as well.

Have you picked up Girl Online yet?

A Closer Look: ELF's Vampire Beauty Book

If you read my "What I Got For My Birthday" post, you would know that I was gifted this Vampire Beauty Book by ELF.

This palette was part of ELF's Halloween and I'm so obsessed with it! Inside the Beauty Book contains eyeshadows, lipgloss, black eyeliner pencil, false eyelashes and eyelash glue and a sponge eyeshadow applicator.

This picture doesn't even begin to show how gorgeous the colors are. They are super pigmented and contain a little bit of glitter but not too much to overwhelm. I got in contact with ELF to ask the names of the eyeshadows, but since they are not sold separately, they have no names.

The eyeliner pencil and lipgloss aren't necessarily my favorite, but they're still pretty. The lipgloss color isn't the most pigmented and a little sticky but I'm sure it will look very nice paired with a nice red lipstick.

I highly suggest you pick up these Beauty Books as soon as you can! They all look so beautiful and I have a feeling I will be purchasing the others real soon!

What I Ate Today- 11/15

Hello everyone!
I'm going to start a new segment called "What I Ate Today" and I'm just going to give you all a heads up right now, I do not eat the healthiest and not everything I eat is "blog worthy," so this segment will be spontaneous but I still hope you enjoy it and maybe it will you an idea of what to make yourself for dinner!

I'm not sure what to call this, but it is very good nonetheless.

What you'll need:

Chicken
Rice
Veggies
Soy Sauce
Worcestershire Sauce
Cooking Oil
Salt & Pepper

Now, you can use as much or as less ingredients are you would like to and you can switch the veggies with whatever you like to make this recipe your own.

Preheat your oven 400°
Once your oven is heated, place your chicken on a pan and cook it. You don't necessarily have to cook the chicken all the way through since you will be adding it to a frying pan.
When you take the chicken out, cut the chicken into cubes and add a thin layer of cooking oil into a frying pan. Add your carrots and chicken and season it with salt and pepper.
After a couple of minutes, add your soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce over your chicken.
This is when I start making my rice. I use minute rice so it's very quick and easy.
Once your carrots start to cook and your chicken is coasted in the sauces, go ahead and add peas and corn.
Keep stirring until everything is cooked thoroughly, mix everything together and then enjoy!
